What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my third transfer on building a spacious decent three house and now I no longer stay in a small leaky house. I also paid school fees arrears for my child who is in high school with the remaining transfer.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I have built a decent spacious house that accommodates my family members comfortably and now I no longer stay in a small leaky house .I have also paid school fees arrears to my child who is in high school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly did well by enrolling households who were poor in my community and giving money which has improved this individuals living standard. GiveDirectly didn't do well by putting a small time line on the enrollment stages which lead to some eligible recipients being left out of the transfer related projects who were out for work.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on building materials (iron sheets, windows, doors) and bought two goats which I am grazing to sell in futuree when I will need school fees.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have put down all the needed materials for building with the upcoming payment. I am certaintly happy that soon I will relocate from the current old leaking-roofed house.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on payment of part Secondary school fee and text books for our child to enable him be in class all the time for better performance in academics (8,000 KES) , and also bought dry corn for food (2,000 KES)
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I felt quite good in my heart because it was such a relief to be able to clear some of the School expenses for our child without much stress and buy plenty of food at once, thank you very much.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I'm planning build a new house since the one I'm living in is a one roomed and can't accommodate the six of us, I'm also planning to pay school fees for my children in secondary school and start small business of selling rice.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My greatest achievement Is I was able to build a small house after my spouse passed away since the one I had was washed away by floods.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship I'm facing currently is lack of enough money to sustain my family. The more I get from odd jobs have to be divided between food and school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in evening after a hard day from work when we are seated together enjoying a meal.
