How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to recondition my house. I have plan to change my house roof and develop my house to standard with more rooms as compare to the previous house. Right now, the house is totally not in good condition while I am mostly affected by the heavy down pull of rain. The entire house is actually leaking which is not good for my health.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am very happy. Since I was born, Givedirectly is the organisation I see that can really change human being life. I am a witness to their transformation. They are doing very well to help us stand up in the society.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc for 21,000LD to roof my house. I also bought mattress for 6,750 LD because my current mattress is no longer good. I use three gallons of gas for 1,890 LD to sow plank purposely for the improvement of the existing structure.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was happy because the money was a gift. I intended to improve my house but I didn't have the money to make it happen. I told my neighbors that GiveDirectly has given me money as it was promised.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The difference is that, I did odd jobs such as brushing my neighbors farms and cut trees using machetes and axe for $300.00 Liberian dollars daily just to sustain myself. Since I started receiving money from GiveDirectly, I no longer do odd job as I can now afford to do many things.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought a new mattress and zinc with my transfer.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If am successful to get this money the first thing I will do is to rebuilt my house. Rebuilding my house is very important to me because my house is in a very bad condition. My hos been damaged due to the raining seasons. The zincs are old causing it to leak whenever it rains. The mud is falling off the stacks causing the house to break down gradually. When it rains at night my clothes get wet, and my things damage. Because of that, my important documents are kept to friends place during raining season. It's so embarrassing and shameful seeing youth chairman living in such place. I thought I would've gotten money from my farm the past 2 years that I could do some renovation, but productions have been very poor. The farming system is very poor, the crops didn't come up good. Having a new house will make me satisfy and comfortable. I will stop being embarrassed by taking my documents else where, not worry during raining season, or get sick from cold. * I will also put the other one in business so as to continue generate profit to engage in other activities. Last since have graduated from high school since 2004, have no money to go back to school. If I get this money, I will try to to university to have a better future for me and my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What has brought happiness to me during the past six months were visitation from my friends.in August of this year. I felt happy because I know people are concern about me. I have always worrying about my the place I have found myself. So with my friends around I feel a bit relief.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My current challenges are; my damage house that leaks everytime and have money to fix it. The upper part of the house is damaged, and the stack are broken. I have no peace during the raining season. My next challenge is going to university. I have graduated since 2004 from high school, but no money to go to the university. Going to the university will help me have a better job and take care of my family and myself
