What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on paying school fee for my children. That was a daughter in college and another in pursuing hair dressing course. To add on that, I had another daughter in secondary school who suffered too from frequent home visits for search of school fee.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have managed to enroll my daughters for various courses which would not have worked for me without the transfers.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well in sending us direct cash without involving third parties. Secondly, I was so pleased with the fact that even the vulnerable were reached and allowed to participate.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that, my children were almost dropping out of school but now I am happy they are going to complete their education.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent a large part of my first transfer to buy school uniforms and text books for my child in primary school to enable her be comfortable in school. The remaining amount was spent on buying food in the house.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to spend the transfers towards school fee payment for my daughter in form three and also expand my cereals business to make it more profitable.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that I have struggled with my small cereals business and have managed to educate my son to form four and still making for my daughter in form three .
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is in finding a living since am widowed and has a double role to play in the family, without any help.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is the night when I get to sleep away from the daily struggles.
