How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes i have new goals that i didn't have before receiving the transfer, firstly i have managed to buy 3 bags of fertiliser and paid for labour expenses to people who are helping me at my farm. Secondly i have managed to buy beddings(a bed and a matress plus blankets)including food (5 bags of maize to be precise) Thirdly i have managed to buy kitchen utensils, and i was sick a few weeks back so i also paid for my hospital bill. I managed to do all this because of GiveDirectly and I'm super grateful for everything.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Everything that GiveDirectly did went well, everyone got enrolled and we are all grateful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have used the second transfer mainly to invest in farming(bought fertiliser and seeds). I have saved the rest because i would love to buy house building materials and building a house later after the rainy season.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when i received the money alert message. I had a mattress but no bed so, i immediately borrowed transport money for my husband to go to town and cash out. And the first thing to buy was the bed
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life since i started receiving money is having to sleep on a bed. I already had a mattress and always wanted to have the bed as well but could not find the money to buy the bed. Once i received the money, i immediately bought a bed. I am very happy now that what i wanted has been bought
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy a bed, 4 bags of cement to plaster my veranda, 2 iron sheets for my veranda, blanket, 4 bags of maize, 1 bag of fertilizer. I have saved some money to buy one more bag of fertilizer when the fertilizer becomes available in my town
