How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I have put on weight because I eat a balanced diet. I have also bought oxen and hence fourth I will also be ploughing in time.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did well to give money to every one in my village regardless of their status. There is nothing they are not doing well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying a cow at UGX 600,000, scholastic materials at UGX 112000 and food at UGX 21,000. I have saved UGX 900,000 which I intend to use for paying school fees.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that, I can now afford three meals in a day and eat a balanced diet hence an improved standard of living.

The moment I received the money, I felt very happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for paying my child's school fees and requirements, beddings, household utensils, solar panel and its battery, and a cow.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to educate my child. I have my daughter studying in st. Johns secondary kachumbala, so this transfers will help me to pay her fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is in the morning while Iam at the borehole fetching water. I chat and joke with my fellow village mates.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is lack how to raise money for paying my daughter's school fees.
