What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successfully enrolled in to Give Directly's cash transfer program, I want to used some of the Money to renovate the house where I'm currently residing. The reason I want to renovate this house is because the roof has several leakages, especially during the course of the rainy season. If I'm still left with additional amount, I will used it to pay the tuition of my children, though they aren't currently staying with me but rather with their mothers.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy or happiness was when one of my friends, Bobby Gibson a former work mate of mine came to visit me and brought me a pair of shoes and some African Shirts. This brought me joy or happiness because I know that it would have cost me a lot getting these things, especially looking at my current financial status. It is even these things that he brought me that I sometimes used to attend meetings, representing my town at the District level some times in our community meetings.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I'm currently facing several challenge but the most of all is the lack of money. I am a high school graduate who used to work for an entity called the Salala Rubber Company but after things went different with me and I lost my job, I finally decided to return home. Currently, I earn money for myself and my family through the means of fixing banches and designing them, have them sold to a nearby market, Sass town as means of getting my daily bread. In reality, the money earned from these benches aren't enough to even get me food least to mention of providing for my children who are staying with their respective mothers.
