How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before i received the transfer i used to sleep on poor beddings and had no hope that one time i would sleep on matress but now things have changed with givedirectly as i have a matress and waiting to build a good house
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly has done well in all dealings with recipients and there is nothing i can single out as shortfall

I have spent the money on iron sheet since i now want to build a good house and saved some money for moulding bricks

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy, I never thought i would actually received this huge amount amount if money.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Not having enough food has always been a challenge, now i am able to feed my family without problems.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I did not have food in my house, therefore i have bought 12 bags of maize. I have also bought Iron sheets because I want to do maintainance. I have also bought Fertilizer for the farm. In addition to that, I have bought mattress and blankets, i did not have proper beddings.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am so happy to have been enrolled into this program as I believe this is an answered prayer. I intend to use the money from this program to build an iron roofed house; buy better clothes for my children as well as buy mattresses and enough food for my family
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happier whenever I do small piece work to provide for my family
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I lack money to buy fertilizers which is always affecting my maize production and in the end hunger and starvation is always on my door step
