How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that I have never lacked what to eat in my house. This is a big step in my life considering how my life was before the transfers. I only had casual work and odd jobs in the village as my source of income. Since it was not consistent and very little, I could not do much in my life. I would have to share the little I get to all my needs. This is the reason why we would occasionally miss some meals so that we can afford to meet other needs. In the last four months, I have been buying food on a monthly basis which has helped reduce the amount I spend on food on a daily basis. As a result, I have always had food which we take in the house. I am glad my children are healthy because they eat well and a balanced diet.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
For the next four months, I have a new goal of buying a goat. Livestock is a good investment because it requires very little resources to keep and it reproduces faster than a cow. When it reproduces, I will have a number which is a sign of wealth for me. Whenever I have any financial emergencies, I can sell some of them to raise money to handle the emergency without having to borrow or take loans. Paying back loans is tiresome and really delays progress hence I would want to really avoid at all cost.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In all my life, I had desired to live in a permanent house. It was my dream even at the time when I was getting married and used to talk to my husband about it. Because we did not have a good income to help us buy building materials for a permanent house, we had to stay in what we could afford which is a mud-walled house. Even though I had a mud-walled house, I was never satisfied. I have been dreaming of even making it semi-permamnent. I tried in my own capacity with my own income but I could not manage due to my other family needs. When I started receiving these transfers, I revived my dream and used my transfers to buy building materials such as cement and sand which I used in plastering my house. In as much as I did not achieve my target of a permanent house but whenever I look at the house I thank God for GD for the transfers because it drew me close to my dream.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I want to focus my transfers on savings. I have a dream of owning livestock and I cannot achieve this if I do not sacrifice. This is why I have chosen to invest my transfers on savings which will help me buy the goat I am planning to have. Since I have experience with GD and how they sent transfers without fail, I know I will achieve the goal in the next six months.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from the last four months in that I was able to use hybrid maize seeds and fertilizer on my farm for the first time. I have not been able to use them because my income was not enough to help buy them. I have been using local seeds and the harvest has not been much. I felt its time I should improve on farming to help me feed my family and reduce the burden of buying food every now and again.

My new goal in the next four months is to boost my foodstuff business. I know through the business, I will have a stable source of income to help support my family well and meet their needs in time. I would not want to go for casual work anymore but improve my income through the business.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference is that I have been able to purchase materials to help me plaster my house. Though the process has not started yet, there is hope. This has been a plan for the longest time ever. It has never hatched before due to lack of resources so I was forced to live with my situation. But I am glad that the plastering will start as soon as I received my next month's transfer. This will help with the labor fees.
