How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I look after my mentally sick/unstable father who is wholly dependent on me. This involves a lot of resources because he has to eat and regular check-ups. It has been a hard journey doing this but when Givedirectly started giving us the transfers, It has greatly lessened the huge load that I usually carry because I also have my children to take care of. I also built a new house and we now live more comfortably than before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to improve my savings habit and start saving for my children's school fees.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that I am more confident that I can take care of my children and provide the basic needs that they need such as food, clothing and education. I also built a new house since the one we initially lived in was no longer in a good shape. I can confidently say we now live a quite comfortable life unlike before.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is to buy a motorcycle which I will use for taxi services. This will also bring in extra income for my family thus improving the general lifestyle. I want my children to have a comfortable home to stay, enough food and for them to study well.
