How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Despite the fact that last season had very short rain leading to low farm yield, the transfers I have been receiving from GiveDirectly in the last four months have kept me moving. I have been using part of them to buy and stock some cereals such as maize grains in the house. As a result, I have not been subjected to hunger. Prior to being enrolled in GiveDirectly's program, in moments like this, I had no option but to forcefully go hungry for a whole day, except for good days when we could only afford a single meal a day.

The new goal in my life in the next four months is to own a goat. I had been rearing some goats sometime back but due to constant financial constraint, I was forced to sell all of them in order to raise school fees for my children. Thereafter, I have been longing to begin rearing some goats once again, however, this has been but a mere dream. I, therefore, hope that this desire will be a reality in the next four months.

At the moment, I have two hens who are brooding while the other two had hatched 20 chicks. They are all very healthy and I hope they will grow to maturity and fetch me some money when I sell them. This will supplement my household income.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to save all my transfers and spend them on purchasing some bags of cement which I will use to renovate my house. Its walls have become very weak. The earlier I renovate it, the stronger it will be to provide me with better habitation for a longer period of time. As a result, I anticipate a positive change in my life since I will not be worried about raising some money to build a new house.
