Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal now is to start a saving account which I will use to buy sheep or goat. I feel I need to have an investment which I can name after Give Directly. An investment which will remind me of GD and I can as well sell to get an income. The sheep or goat will reproduce which will increase the number I own. It is a good source of investment too.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have always relied on farming as my main source of income over the years. Since I have a limited number of plots, I have already overused them up and their production has really gone down. The production of maize reduced to 5 sacks per harvest. This has not been very helpful because it could not sustain our needs until the next harvest, But since I started getting my transfers from GD, I have been using the money to buy hybrid seeds and fertilizers which I have been using on my farm every planting season. As a result, my harvest has gone up more than I used to get before. Now I get at least 15 sacks of maize every harvest. This has ensured we have food in the house and the extra, I sell to raise an income to meet other family needs.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I want to have a small business such as a retail shop business which will help sustain my family need well for the future. I cannot depend on farming as my main source of income for long because very soon I will grow old and will not be able to work on my farm as I do now. I would want to have an income-generating activity which I can carry out even in my old age. This is why I want to begin small with a retail shop business which I will be boosting on every month as I continue receiving my transfers so that by the time the transfers stop, I will have a stable source of income to help me meet my family needs.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal of saving and paying casual workers to work on my farm. I have bigger farms which I cannot work on by myself so I need the extra manpower to help.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to pay casual workers to work on my farm. I have bigger farms that require extra manpower to work in and by paying them there is an assurance that my family will get better harvests at the end of it all. I have also been able to buy pesticides to help in the control of the pests which ensures quality proceeds which we can sell to earn income for our upkeep and also use some for our daily consumption.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I believe by then I shall have expanded on my farming which will help in the generation of income for the family. We can sell the proceeds to raise income and also consume most of them for nourishment. This will be our main source of income so I believe it is best to invest in better seeds, fertilizer and extra manpower in order to achieve this.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been in the last four months is that I was able to plant trees in my home. I have always desired to plant trees in my compound but because I was not able to get trees seedlings with my little income, I was not able to plant them. I would want my children to remember with these trees when I finally die. I thank GD for making this dream come true in my life.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to buy household items such as a water tank and four plastic chairs. This is because I would not want to go through the struggles I have been going through during dry seasons because of lack of water.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I am a widow and I only depend on my farm produce for survival. This is because I am old to keep up with going for casual work on a daily basis. I also do not have another source of income and any form of employment to sustain myself. I have been depending on farming for the last three years. I have been not been harvesting the expected amount because I have been using the local methods such as local seeds and without fertilizers. With GD transfers, I was able to buy hybrid seeds and fertilizers which I used on my farm. Through this, I was able to get an improved harvest from 2 sacks to 7 sacks of maize which is a reflection of the hard work. I thank GD for the change.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will continue investing my transfer on my farm. I would want to use the transfer to better my life and can only happen through farming. I will be using the transfers to buy farm inputs such as hybrid seeds and fertilizers to use on farm.
