How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The difference between my life now is that I have a house with iron sheets which would have never been possible if it wasn't for GiveDirectly

GD gives us the power to plan for ourselves and that's the best thing that it does better

I have spent my money on fixing my house. It was thatched with grass which was leaking during heavydown pour so my priorities was to get that fixed. I have also bought cement because I am planning to fix the floor

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Well, this was the most exciting moment in my life. I felt honoured and it is a feeling I will nurse for the rest of my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
For once in my life I will own a good house built with cement as well as iron sheets. Receiving this money has been a turning point in my life. Iam grateful to GiveDirectly for this cash grant.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I had received this transfer from GiveDirectly I bought iron sheets, 16 bags of cement, 10 bags of maize and 1 goat for rearing. I would like to start goat farming.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money to me means that I will have a some help in having a secure source of income. I have always wanted to have a small business of my own but due to lack of money i could not do so. This money will change this.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening because this is when I am home with my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
As a home we mainly face the hardship of having enough meals throughout the whole year.
