How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is very different now than it was before the transfer. I used to get stressed on how i would provide for my family and ended up doing farming in other people's farms for money or food. I could neither harvest enough due to lack of fertilizer. All that has changed now. I have enough food and no more stress. I will also buy fertilizer and harvest enough in the coming farming season. GiveDirectly does well in giving us free cash that has helped my family alleviate hunger and also enable me build a decent house for my family. I n terms of what GiveDirectly does not do well, i can't think of any. Thank you for the support
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy 15 bags of cement, 10 bags of maize, 1 door and 4 blankets for my children. I had a 1 bedroom house and now, with your help, i am building a 3 bedroom house. I also only harvested 4 bags of maize and hunger was about to strike, but your support has enabled me to buy enough maize that my family will no longer go hungry. Thank you so much

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money to me means that now I will be able to provide for my child everyday a proper meal. I am a second wife and my husband travelled for work. I depend on money which he sends for my food and basic needs. This help does not come every month. So the coming in of this money today will help me greatly.
What is the happiest part of your day?
There is no particular time of the day that I am more happier than another.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I mainly struggle with finding food for my home as i do not have a stable source of income.
