How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life is now different. We have a good living environment and also we have enough food for the family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does everything right. We are given money to buy what we lack in life, so this organization is doing everything right.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy things that I couldn't have bought if I did not receive the transfer, I was able to buy food( maize) for the family and most importantly I used the money to buy materials like cement, iron sheets to improve my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The money means a lot to me. I have a house with grass roofing, i have been desiring to buy iron sheets and i am glad that i will be able to buy with the cash transfer. I also plan to renovate the house which is at my wife's village. Part of the money will be used as capital for my business and part of it will be used to buy food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy when i have money because money simplifies everything.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Access to food has been a great challenge. We also don't have nice beddings such that we don't sleep comfortably.
