How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes! I want to build another house in konoroken.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly have done more than well. Since birth, i have not seen any NGO entity that is one hundren percent better, confidential and straight forward like Givedirectly. They have impacted lives in rural areas and towns. We are blessed to have come across them.
I have not seen or heard any bad thing about them.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundle of zinc, I paid my kids balance tuition and the rest of the money was used for agricultural purposes.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes I set a new goal to new zinc roof house as my old goal is to plaster my house existing and pay my children school fees.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done nothing bad.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought one buddle of zinc, 2pks of zinc nails, the balance is in saving to pay contractors who plastering my existing house and the construction of my new house.

I do not have a new goal.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly does well by bringing positive change yo my community. They do not pick and choose except for people who were on their village (on the farm) and were not talked to during the registration process. They have brought happiness in the town and brought togetherness in family by telling us to avoid confusion.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was sweeping the yard when the message came, my son read the message to me and informed me that I have received the money givedirectly promise me. I began dancing and singing saying, "God has done it for me" since my lifetime I have never heard of or seen any NGO or government institutions who have given me such an amount free of charge to poor people. Am surprised about this money, it looks like a dream to me. Many thanks to Givedirectly for putting smile on our faces.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
If this money was not given to me, I was going to be unable to build a house. I am a farmer but the animals are always destroying the crops on the farm because it is not fenced. I live in a family house with my children. I thank God for givedirectly for helping me to build a house of my own. Everyday I think of this big change that is about to happen in my life, I feel happy and peace comes to my soul.

I bought two bundles of zinc and six packs of nail for my new house. I also bought food stuff and save some of the money for the building project.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"As a family, the first thing we would do with GiveDirectly Cash Transfer would be enrolling all our children into school because as it is now, only four of our children are enrolled into school.
Secondly, we would buils a new house because the location of our present house is has become uncomfortable for us due to the erosion.
When rain falls heavily the entire house can be surrounded by water and that makes it unsafe and even unhealthy for us to continually still.
And, if there's still money, we would invest in our cocoa plantation which we've just ventured into the middle part of this year."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"So, we were really worried as usual about provision for the house but the government people surprised us with surplus food that lasted a while.
This happened sometimes in the middle of the year after the COVID-19 Virus had subsided for a while.
This is still one of the joyous times for us as our family!
I'm also happy today that I had no idea whatsoever that an NGO would have made a stop to our village yet, you're before me and my family with an information which will make anyone overly happy.
Much more, I'm grateful for the phone and the good news of the Cash Transfer that's underway!"
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"For us, the farming we're involved in takes too much hard labor.
The work is enormous and it's just my husband and myself which makes it really challenging!
The other thing is that, our hard works are not benefiting us because the ground hugs destroy major portion of the farm and there's just little left of the rice to even take as through.
Because of all these different challenges, the children are unable to get the kind of essential education they need.
We aren't in the position to have them sent to the city for proper education.
As a result, they just stay here in the village being from one neighbor to the next!"
