How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No I don't have any new goals. My primary goal has always been to build a better house for my family and to see my children complete their education so that they can have a brighter future. Our house is not in a good condition and I've been praying to get money to build a new one. I'm so excited to get enrolled on this program. Our lives will improve for the better.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done extremely well by giving us free money that we didn't work for. In my opinion they're not doing anything unwell. We are very grateful that they came to our village to assist us. Being on the GiveDirectly program will improve our lives and we are so happy for that.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used some of the money to pay my children tuition. I also bought zinc to build a new house. I saved alittle amount so that when I receive the balance transfers I can buy some other building materials and pay the contractors. I'm grateful to be enrolled on the GiveDirectly program. I can now accomplish my goals.I also plan to start a business to save some money and prepare for my children future.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
" I was so excited to have received such wonderful text message enters my phone. I ran to my wife dancing and hugging her. From the days of my parents and even my grand parents, I have not seen nor heard about such a free gesture before that does not require the beneficiary to do anything. I immediately realized that my life was about to chang".
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
" The biggest difference is that I am more relaxed now than ever before. Before then, I had always sat with my wife and we had both been thinking how can we raise money to secure a piece land to put down a structure that my children can comfortably continue their studies in.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
" I intend to buy my land in Monrovia. I had thought about building house in Monrovia. My children who attend schools in Monrovia are living in rented houses that can't even afford to regularly pay rent. This has made made them to be like refugees in their our country. I know that when I have the opportunity to build the said house, it will relief my family from moving from place to place".
