I live in a single-roomed house with my family of four and cook in the open space. Since my family is growing,there is not enough space for us to stay comfortably. When it rains, we struggle to prepare meals from outside and are forced to wait for the rains to subside. This is much struggle and therefore I plan on building a two roomed iron sheet house with the transfers. I am glad as we will have enough space for the children to comfortably do their homework and also hosting visitors will be easier. The remaining transfers will go into purchasing food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Two months ago, we were displaced by floods and we had to flee our homes to a safe place. After spending a month in a school sleeping under tents, we came back to our homes when the water subsided. I am happy because life is getting back to normalcy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My wife and I rely on farming to earn a living for our family of four. Recently , there was flash floods and it destroyed the vegetables we had planted in half acre farm and we lost it all. We had borrowed loan to farm and now we are forced to do casual jobs in order to repay it.
