How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have managed to complete paying school fees for my three children who are in secondary level. Secondly, I acquired more three cows to the one I already had. In the past, I depended on farming to get my children's fees and I could pay in instalments.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by helping with money for paying fees for my children and hiring other people to support me with farm work since I cultivated on large scale. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought a cow, clothing/household goods, paid school fees, paid medical bills, paid labour and stocked millet for sale.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will enable me pay school fees for my children. I have one child in Secondary level and another in upper primary but it has not been easy for me to facilitate their education promptly. I will also start a livestock raising business to enable boost household income so that I don't get stranded in future to pay the school dues for my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I'm done with my lunch meal. This is usually in the afternoon at about 2pm to 3pm.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is lack of enough money to pay for my children's school fees. This at one point saw me sell the few animals I had in my home just to pay for school fees. But it was still not enough.
