My goal in the next four months is to plaster my house. We normally sleep on the floor and the dust is usually too much to contain. Maintaining such a house is also a hustle since it wears out very first and one has to repair it more often. I felt that plastering it will be the best option. We will no longer risk contracting respiratory diseases from the dust. I will also stay for long before repairing the plastered floor.

The biggest difference in my life since Give Directly came into my life is that I can now provide most of the basic needs to my grandchildren who are total orphans. I am now old with no stable source of income. This makes my situation worse because I have young children who need to go to school, be well fed and have decent clothes to put on. With the help of Give Directly, I am able to provide all these with ease. My grandchildren no longer put on tattered clothes or walk with bare feet.

After plastering the floor, I believe that I will now be able to paint the walls. I have a plan of saving the transfers for the next six months to ensure this goal is met. Once the walls have been painted and the floor is well plastered, I am sure to rest for more than two years without thinking of building another house of repairing it. This will give me peace of mind to focus on doing other things.

My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that my grandchildren have new clothes. This is something that I did not know I was able to provide for them because of the many needs and very little income. I had encouraged them to use the few they had because I did not have the resources to get new ones. When I had cleared all the debts I had, I decided to spare some money which I used on buying them new clothes. I am glad finally I was able to deliver on their request.

My new goal in the next four months is to save my transfers so as to buy building materials such as cement and sand which I plan to use I plastering my house. I do not have the energy to smear on a monthly basis as it is required to maintain the status of the house in good condition.

I am very old and I do not have the energy to farm or involve myself in any vigorous economic activity. This is why in most cases, I have to hire others to help me out in most of my errands and activities. Before the transfers, I used to have lots of debts from my friends and neighbours because I had to ensure that my farm is prepared yet I did not have the resources to pay. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have been paying the debts bity by bit and so far I have cleared them. I am glad my farm is always prepared in time because of the transfers from Give Directly. The burden has been taken away by GD.

I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have plastered my house. In my old age, I have to hire someone to help in smearing the house on a monthly basis. Since I do not have a stable source of income, I can not keep up on hiring on a monthly basis. I will use part of my transfers to buy building materials so that I can plaster the house once and for all.

Before the transfers, I would depend on well-wishers to be taken to the hospital for treatment. In most cases when I was sick, I would have to take natural herbs to feel better. Right now, I get quality medication courtesy of GD transfers. Anytime I fall sick, I go to good hospitals for treatment and I don't take long before I get well unlike before the transfers.

My new goal in the next four months is to plaster my house. I am old and I cannot keep up with smearing the house every month. The house is in a bad condition hence I would want to plaster it and focus on other needs for my grandchildren.

I have been taking care of two grandchildren since the death of their parents two years ago. It has been difficult to provide for all their needs since I only depend on my farming. I would struggle to raise money to even pay for their school needs and would have to seek help from family and friends. This has not been easy and most cases they were sent home for fees and would stay home for even a month before I get the money to pay. Ever since I started receiving these transfers, I have been able to pay part of their fees arrears and in as much as am not yet done clearing their balance, they are rarely sent home. This is the biggest difference in my life.

My plan for the next six months, I am planning to buy a cow. This will be an investment for my grandchildren and help raise money to pay for their school fees. When the number increases, I will have a herd of cows which I can sell and raise money to pay for their fees and needs.

The biggest difference is that I have been able to provide for my family thanks to the transfers I receive from GD. This was a struggle since I had no source of income yet the breadwinner my son Tobias could no longer provide for he had fallen sick. Now we can afford to get all the three meals per day.

The floor of my house is not plastered. I have suffered jiggers infection for quite some time. I am planning to plaster the floor of my house to resolve this problem once and for all.

In the next six months, I will have plastered the floor of my house and jiggers will be a forgotten story. My household will have enough food and will no longer have to worry about where to get food from. With the transfers, I am certain that I can budget well for the entire month.

I have a new goal of renovating my house which is currently very weak and leaking.

Were it not for the transfer, I would not have gotten the maize grains that I currently eat with my grandchildren. It therefore means that my living standard would have been very low.

In the next six months, I expect the life style in my house to be very high. Currently, I sleep on a very torn mattress as my grandchild spread a canvas on the cold floor without any heavy blankets to cover up themselves. I believe that in the next six months, we will be able to sleep on very comfortable bedding.

The biggest difference in my daily is that I have acquired peace of mind and I no longer worry about the small basic needs that I may require in the house.
