How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! I'm still sticking to the old plans which is to build a house and to have another cocoa farm.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly did well by sending us cash. What would've done without this program? Nothing! With the cash received, I was able to add additional portion of land to continue my farming, my kids are in school, my house project is about to start and everything is going on smoothly. The legacy they have set will speak for them even when they're gone. We can't thank them enough for everything. Givedirectly is too good to do something wrong.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought five packs of zinc nails, I paid labourers to cleared the unwanted plants, I bought fertilizer and medicine for the farm. Lastly, I bought a half bag of rice for consumption.

In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done nothing bad, even GiveDirectly staff are trained and responsible, because if the staff are bad the institution will be bad but all GiveDirectly staff are good even there's no organization you can compare with GD.

I bought one mattress, one 25kg bag of rice and five packs of wire nails.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't have a new goal. I am still focussing on my house project.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Since GD came to our community, we have had total relief. Most of the houses in this town were all thatch and mud houses but since we received this money, everyone is developing their lives by building new houses and improving the existing ones with zinc and concret building. I feel so excited about that because it is a good thing Givedirectly has done. Actually, as we speak now I can not identify anything that GD didn't do well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I uaed part of my transfer to hire laborers to saw planks, cut sticks and brush my cocoa farm. I also bought school materials for the children and bought food to keep the family up while we await the remaining transfer.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I left for my farm early that more with frustration wherein I couldn't afford food money for the day. Whilst brushing the farm, I heard my message tone and I paused to check whether it was a text from Lonestar. Fortunately, I saw 40375 from Givedirectly. I felt very happy. There was this deep smile that I couldn't control on my face. I kept smiling and feeling happy within my spirit. I left the farm immediately to share the good news with my wife who was sad because I did not leave food money at home. I gave her the news and she jumped on the porch with dancing. My wife got happy instantly and I felt like a real man and very pleased.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I've been going through suffering by working on other people's farms before paying my children's fees and feeding them. Since I got my first transfer, my life changed that moment. I know that before the fourth payment ends I will be a different man positively. I will not have to go through changing the thatch on top of my house every rainy season which has been very stressful; I will have my own zinc house soon. My children will not drop out of school anymore because the farm will help to bring in money. Givedirectly has changed my life and I feel very fulfilled each day.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My wife and I have planned to build a new house so I bought two bundles of zinc to start the project. I bought two of my children's uniforms, shoes, and also paid their tuition. I bought two cutlasses and one file and hired two men to brush my cocoa farm. I also bought one bottle of medicine (fertilizer) to make my farm produce well.
