How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different since i can own a dairy cow and pay school fees for my child. In the past ,I have never owned a dairy cow but now i have one. I can supply enough milk for my family and the rest can sell and used the money to pay school fees for my child, I am now happy since i can provide quality education for my child.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly do well by giving out the unconditional cash transfers to uplift our living standards of the poor households in the villages and Ii have not seen anything that Give Directly does not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer to buy a cow worth 35000 KSH. Owning a cow has always been my dream since milk is a stable food in my community, i can now supply enough milk for my family and the surplus milk i usually sell to earn an income. I also used part of the transfer to pay school fees for my child who was joining primary school since i have always thought of giving quality education for her and finally used the remaining amount to buy iron sheets for my mother. My mother has always lived in a grass- thatched kitchen so it was a good time to built an iron- roofed house.

The biggest hardship I have faced in life is failure to continue with my efucation. In the year 2015, I conceived and I had to stay at home until I gave birth. At first, I thought I will continue with my education after giving birth but that hope was shattered by my parents and I had to stay at home and fend for my child; and consiquently it marked the end od my education.
