How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, my new goal is to improve my house's roof from thartch to zinc. I have been living in this thartch house for about eight years now. The roof is so deplorable that when it rain my family and I can really suffer a lot because of the leakage. I make farm and cut palms to sustain my family and I. But things had not been easy to provide for my home. To even think of improving my house roof was never an option before, due to no money. This my last transfer has brought so much happiness to me and my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has improved my life completely. I'm very happy and grateful to GD. Giving money to me directly is something very well that GD has done and I am grateful for this opportunity. Because I did not had the means of improving my house roof. However, I have not observe anything unwell about GD.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Improving my house roof has been my long wish due to the leakage from the thartch roof that my family and I constantly endure. So, I have spent my last transfer on three bundles of zinc to improve my house roof to zinc. I have been in this house with my family for the past eight years. There have been no money to change the thartch roof to zinc. This transfer has set my wish right of improving my house roof where my family and I can comfortably live.I also bought food, clothes and started a new business with my last transfer.
