How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
With the GiveDirectly cash transfers I was able to reclaim and more land for commercial farming. I am hoping to construct a permanent house after harvesting my food crops. Previously, I did not have money to enable me reclaim my farmland that was attached to a loan.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to send poor households cash transfers. Many households have been uplifted from abject poverty to a sustainable level.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I purchased livestock with part of the second cash transfer. The balance was spent on hiring a piece of farm land.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life is currently different because I have acquired Livestock like goats and sheep which I did not own before. I have also repossessed the land which I'm going to plant my cassava. In the post, I had no gardens to plant my crops.

It was at 3.00am when I heard my phone ring. I just looked at It because I could not operate it. I requested my son to check the phone. On checking, he found out that I had received my transfer from GiveDirectly. I felt very happy because that money was going to help me clear the debt and get what I did not have like goats, mattress and utensils.
