How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! I had no new goals before receiving payments from GiveDirectly. I have been selling provisions. The business was not going so well. My mother has been sick for some time now. I use money from my business for my family upkeep and my sick mothers hospital bills. I have been struggling to build my house. I was so excited when GiveDirectly came to my town. I was overjoyed when I received my transfer. The contractor that was hired to do my project ate so much money from me. He did not complete my house. I had to hire a new contractor.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done a great thing for me. I had nowhere to turn. Things were so hard on my family. I am so happy to be enrolled in this program. In my opinion GiveDirectly has not done nothing wrongly. I am so grateful for this program.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used some of my payment to buy some bags of cement. I also paid some money to the contractor for my project. I bought a bag of rice and some other food items.
