How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No! I have no new goals. My goal has been to build a decent house. I have not been able to achieve it due to lack of money. I cut palm and make oil. Take the oil to local markets for sale. Sometimes the business don't go well. Due to the economy now the customers buy small quantity and don't pay full amount. I was so excited when GIVEDIRECTLY came to my village. I was overwhelmed when I received my transfer. My dreams will now come to pass.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I so grateful that I got enrolled in this GiveDirectly program. It's an amazing program. A life changing one. This cash program is an opportunity to make our dreams become a reality. Things have been so hard on us. GiveDirectly is not doing anything unwell. Instead it is doing everything to eliminate poverty in our country. We are grateful for that.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My life has been a bit difficult. I make oil and sell for a living. I haven't withdrawn the money but when I do I want to build a new house. The house my family and I live in is old and it leaks. Due to insufficient funds I have not been able to change it. Things have been hard on us. I am so grateful that I got enrolled in this program. When I withdraw my money I am going to use some to change the roof of our house.I will save a little amount and buy food items with the rest.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have plan to reconstruct my house when I receive my transfer. My house is very old now and I see the need to break it and rebuild it.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What I'm happy and joyous about now compare to before (the past six months) is the coming of Givedirectly to my community. Hearing I'm to benefit from Givedirectly brings me great relief from worries.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My current challenge now is with this house. This house is an inheritance from my parent's parents passed unto me. It bothers me that it has gotten very old and I'm not able to recondition it.
