How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
No, my previous planned of building my own house still stands. I'm squatting with my sister in her house and she has her own family too. I don't want to embarrass her, so I have decided to build my own place for my family and I.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Well, so far, GiveDirectly has done pretty well for us in this district. GiveDirectly has made most of us to own properties on our own and has empowered us to be independent.

Although I have not used my money yet but I intend buying two bundles of zinc with some cement to start my house projects soon. I will also buy food and save some of the money for workmanship.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money from Givedirectly will mean a lot to me because my plan is to built a house of my own because I'm still dwelling in a family house. I'm still dwelling in my family house because I'm a widow. My focus is actually to have a house for myself but for now,vim unable to achieve it because of lack of money.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months what has brought me happiness or joy is when my children surprised me with some food items in last October. I did not expect that from them,so upon receiving the items, I was very happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest challenge is, I don't have someone to help me since the death of my husband. Because of that, I'm unable to meet my basic necessities. I will appreciate help from anywhere to enable me actualize my dream
