How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have this goal of starting a fishing business. It is not really a new goal for me. This goal of establishing my own fishing business dated as far back in 2012. All along, I have been canoe helper. And I feel tire some days of continuously working for people. I have my woman and four living children to care for. So, I have been keeping my transfers, from the first to the last, to buy canoe and fishing net to start my own business.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well for me by helping me with enough money to start my own fishing business. I feel happy everyday that I am about to fulfil one of my biggest dream. This will help me take good care of my family. Because, as a canoe helper, to provide at home was a difficult thing. But thanks to GD for reaching my village and has helped me with money to start my own fishing business. As for things done unwell by GD, I have not seeing anything of such.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have added my last transfer to the previous one to buy a canoe and a fishing net to start my own fishing business. This has really been my dream for a very long time. Because I am tire of working for people as canoe helper. To support my family while working for people has been a serious challenge for me. What I earned daily is too little and sometimes only fish for eating at home I benefit. That's why I have saved all of my transfers to have a canoe for myself.
