How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving this transfer, I have had this goal of improving my dry goods business. It is a business that I have been doing for long now. But I have not been able to expand it, due to insufficient money. My husband has been the one mostly providing for our household. He used to fishing to support our six children and me at home. Now, he's sick and is in the sick bush. I am left with all the household responsibilities and to care for him. Therefore, it is my plan to buy more goods to improve my income from the last transfer received and take good care of my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done so much and I do not even know how to even appreciate them. It is my very first time to have gotten on such a unique program. I am really over joy for receiving such an amount directly. And one thing I have seen well about GD, is the fact that, they allowed poor people like us or me to make our own decisions on how to spend every transfer received. For this, I am so much grateful. However, I have not seen any unwell things that GD is doing or has done.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I will spend my most recent transfer on buying more goods to expand my dry goods business. It is a business that I have been doing for a very long time. Through this business, I have shared some of the household responsibilities with my husband. But my business went down due to the lack of money. And I have not been able to improve, as well my is sick. So, this my last transfer will be spent on buying more goods to improve my existing business.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I never thought about venturing into business. With the level I have reached in getting payment from GiveDirectly my goal now is to use my remaining transfers to start a business that will be serve as a source of income for my family and I that when GD is done with my promised transfers I will now become an independent woman to continue with taking care of my household. I feel very delighted about this new goal.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has been doing well from the very beginning of this program. Every step by the way had been carried out with so much professionalism by their Staffs. Every sacrifices and efforts applied to reach us have served as motivation for we at the receiving end. Sincerely speaking, I haven't noticed anything bad that GD had not done well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving payment from GiveDirectly, with my new goal of establishing my own business, I am planning on using all my recent transfer to buy coconuts and dried fish for sale. With this new goal, I believe my family will now become financially stable even after GiveDirectly had left our town. My thanks and appreciation to GiveDirectly for empowering us through financial assistance.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes! Things have been very difficult for my family because my husband have been sick for some time now. My children have been out of school. Now this money transfer will help me get them back in school and get a new home.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly have done extremely well for and my family. Am extremely happy that this program came into my village. In my opinion GiveDireclty do not do pick and choose. They are very fair. I dont even know how to thank GiveDirectly. They have brought a major change in my life. I can not think of anything that they not do well. I thank them so much for this great assistance.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My husband has been sick for the past six years and things have been very difficult for my children and I. I have been struggling alone to cater to my children, register them in school and also feed them. Now that I'm privilege to get this money my first priority is their school fees and I will save the balance to build a house for my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I will do business and use the profit to support my children in their education and build a house so my children can inherit it.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The last six months I joined an organization, they can share small cash and other material things with people who have low income and train people on how to save money, I have been applying the savings method so I and my family can't lack food many days. I felt happy because of the intervention this organization did.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am experiencing problems with feeding my children, I have to pay people to make farm for me because my husband has been sick for the past five years, the little cassava farm I have it's where I can harvest cassava from to make fufu and gari; sometimes we can't get costumers, that means I and my family will not eat unless some of my neighbors help us with food.
