What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on purchasing 8 pieces of irons sheets with an intention of buiding a kitchen since I don't have one ,bought a steel door to fix on the main house and two cows for my dowry payment which I had been waiting for 17 good years. I also bought a solar lantern for lighting because I used to have a tin lamp that could cause accidents like burn clothes and other items in the house and lastly cleared school fees for my child in high school so as not to be sent away in the course of the term due to the arrears.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion what GiveDirectly does well is by keeping the promise and giving us unconditional cash transfer individually at a personal level

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on setting my own compound at 40,000 KES, paid 1,000 KES school fee for my disabled child then used the rest of the cash on other little errands. Am now happy that I managed to build my own compound, something which I've yearned for for fifteen years.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I received the money because it would help me fulfill the quest I've had for so many years. Thanks to GiveDirectly.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I faced is lack of enough food to feed my family. Sometimes we are forced to skip meals due to hiked prices of food stuffs in the market.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning while serving customers in my business. It gives me alot of hopes for the day to see my customers satisfied.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is going to uplift me from poverty. I will use pay fee for my children in school and also to build another house because my current house has a leaking roof and cracked walls.
