How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I just want to keep living a better life by always getting money to support my family and to complete the renovation of my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly staffs didn't accept anything from me to get on this program and most often they usually give me good advise on how to keep my money safe.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am not living in a descent house, during rainy season, sleeping in my house becomes very difficult. The money I received from GiveDirectly was used to buy building materials inorder to renovate my house. I also used some of the money to buy television so my family and I can entertain ourselves.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I received the cash transfer from GiveDirectly, I will use all the cash transfer to recondition my house and build another one. I am tired of living in this tash house that makes life very difficult and uncomfortable for me at every rainy season. I will permanently solve leakage problem by roofing it with zinc. For my children school fees, I will use other mean to solve it but the dwelling place has been my heavy load which I will use all my transfers to settle once and for all.
What is the happiest part of your day?
From February 2022 up to present I am happy because my family and I have life and good health . I have 13 children and I only support them through the farm products and other extanded help. To generate money for an emergency like illnesses is most often challenging for me. From the time mentioned up to present non of my family members have fallen illed. For this I am happy and joyfull.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The current hardship I am facing is the lack of financ. I have 13 children. I am caring for 7 and the other 6 are with my relatives in different locations. Two of them would've been out of high school by now but due to financial dofficulties they weren't able to continue . I am not an educated man to have a perminent source of income. My higher level of education is 6 grade due to the same financial challenge. I am happy to be enrolled in GiveDirectly program because it will help me have a dwelling place and send my kids to school.
