Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received my cash transfer, I was super excited and happy..I knew that I will now be able to afford some of the things that I been dreaming about.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these payments is that currently, I am able to afford buying different relish for my children. I am capable of eating different food groups such as proteins, carbohydrates and vitamins compared to the past where I could only manage to eat one specific food group.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to procure at fertiliser and seeds..I bought 2 bags of fertilizer at an amount of $75 and I plan to apply in my maize field inorder to promote growth. Then, I bought 2 bags of maize since my family is small..The food that I bought will take me untill the end of the year and everyone in the family will be able to have enough food per day. Lastly, I saved the other part of the money with an intention of buying things like livestock in the following months.

What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Recieving this money will help me to buy goats. I would buy three goats to add to the two goats i already have. The goats would cost me $90 because each goat is sold at $30each. I choose goats because they are easier to care of because they withstand intense weather conditions.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the month of August I was happy because I attended my sister in-laws wedding. At the wedding there was music, traditional dances and local beer(Thobwa).
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge that I am currently facing is a financial challenge. I rely on subsistence farming to provide food for my family of four. The past harvest season I was able to harvest fifteen bags of maize which I do sell whenever I need money to provide other basic needs. I have only been able to sell four bags of maize at $16 each.
