How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The new goal I have set before receiving this transfer is to invest my recent transfer in to farming activities. I am presently brushing farm to start planting suger cane and plantains in huge quantities. Farming is one of the best strategies used to invest for the future. Thanks to Givedirectly for the direct cash support. I believe that when I plant suger cane and plantains in large quantities, I will be able to harvest them for sales in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Givedirectly is really helping to improve the lives of families positively in our community. Through Givedirectly direct cash support to families, Many recipients are in the process of building their houses while others who never had good mattresses in their rooms bought decent mattresses for their rooms. Thanks to Givedirectly for the great jobs done. For area of improvement, GiveDirectly needs to focus on major challenges recipients go through while cashing out their transfers. Some spend lots of money on transportation while others paid high cashout fees.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spend my most recent transfer to buy one 21inches mattress for my room. Christmas celebration was very closed , I spend some of my transfer to buy clothes for the children. Secondly, I spend part of the transfer to paid contractors to start brushing my farm. Thanks for Givedirectly for the cash support. I believe that with my transfer, my plan to become successful will surely come to pass.

Whe i received my second transfer from GiveDirectly i bought zinc and cement to finish my house. I'm even thinking about starting a new business to help me and my family. I bought my children schools material for this year and paid their school fees. I'm very thankful to GiveDirectly for their support towards us in Rivercesse. Now I'm thinking about my next transfer to come so that i can improving my living conditions good. Because I know very well that GiveDirectly will not be there for good.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion GiveDirectly has done nothing bad to me because it was easy for me and my family. GiveDirectly is one NGO that i really give credit to in Liberia more especially their way of working. GiveDirectly is one NGO that can't even pick and choose with people in the programs. The only thing that i see that i went for GiveDirectly to do is to please help us about getting our money from the mobile money agents. Because we're paid lot of money on transportation to get this money

I bought some material for the house even thinking of established a new business to help me and my family. Because I know very well that this programs will not be forever so i need to help me and my family for tomorrow. I'm going to put this money in to good use by building a house for my children. I bought all my children schools material and paid their school fees. I bought some food for the house and i even bought some more zinc to add on the some that i get from the first money.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
While I was in the forest in Sinah gathering planks, I received a mobile transfer from GiveDirectly. Immediately, when I received the message I became so excited and started dancing knowing that I had enough money to buy a new bike for transportation business and also I could use portion of the money to register my children in school. Initially, I couldn't have accomplished all these without GiveDirectly's money transfer. I feel so relieved at the moment because I'm able to achieve some of my biggest dreams such as purchasing a new bike to start my transportation business and also registering my children in school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Presently, I don't have to depend on only wood (plank) business to feed my family and also take my children to school. With this money transfer from GiveDirectly, I am able to start transportation business (by purchasing a new bike) and also I'm able to register my children in school. Meanwhile, one of my greatest dreams to own a bike and one day see all of my children graduate from high school will finally be realized.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Most of my recent transfer was used to purchase bike for transportation business and also to register my children for academic school year 2021/2022. Without GiveDirectly cash transfer, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to register my children in school for this academic year and I also wouldn't have been able to purchase new bike for my transportation business. Glory to God and thanks to the entire GiveDirectly family for such an opportunity.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan to sent my children to school and increase my farm land aswell. The mean reason I want to sent my kids to school is, they are my future once they are educated, they will not depend on others for survival and they will also take care of my wife and I in the future. With the farm, I will have more food for them and sell some to take care of other problems in the home.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The only happy day, isduring festival season. I was lastly overjoyed during the July 26( Liberia independence Day). On that day, I was able to provide a new set of clothes , slippers and good for for my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Poverty is the major challenge I'm faced with. The only means of survival for my household, is farming. It is through the farming I'm able to take care of my family but is difficult because I have to work myself up every day to ensure I have little food and cash.
