How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I wanted to build my house but couldn't afford due to financial difficulties. I'm presently living in my aunt house with my husband. We have no respect from other family members due to poverty. However, when I receive my transfer from GiveDirectly, I bought enough planks and sticks to continue my house project. I have also added an annex to the house so that I can open my shop and set up a new business.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has given me unconditional cash to improve my living standards. Their staff are so kind and patient when talking to me. I count myself blessed to have benefited from this program. Infact, GD has been doing well in all aspect and I'm grateful for all they have done.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have always wanted to build a house for me and my husband to move in. Therefore, as soon as I received my transfer, I bought enough wood (planks and sticks) for $30,000LD to complete my house. I am a High School student currently in grade 7. Meanwhile, I also used some of my transfer($4,500LD) to pay my remaining school fees. I'm so excited for this life changing opportunity given me by GiveDirectly.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving payment from GiveDirectly, I was never thinking about building a house for myself. Presently I'm staying in my Aunt's house. With this transfer I am now planning to build my own house. Therefore, I used a good portion of the money to buy two bundles of zinc and planks for the house. With my new goal of building a house through GiveDirectly financial assistance, I now feel like an independent woman.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has been doing well from the beginning of this program until now. All the processes carried on by this Organization has been fair and transparent. The effort applied to reach the needy is so much remarkable. Truly speaking, GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong. Thanks to Give Directly for changing our lives.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving payment from GiveDirectly, with my new dream of becoming a house owner, I used some of my money to purchased two bundles of zinc and planks for the house project. Finally I used the balance money to pay my school fees in order to continue my education.
