What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I receive this cash transfer from Givedirectly I plan to build my own house. Right now we live in a little hut with insufficient space to keep our belongings. Four of my children are currently living with my older sister in the big city because, the hut we live in right now can not provide shelter for my children and I. I have always dreamt of having my family in one place but where I live can not accommodate everyone.I think getting this cash transfer from Givedirectly will help me achieve my dream come through.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My Sister in- law hired my husband last month to prepare her charcoal kiln, the money he got was used to buy two 25kg bags of rice that we consumed for about a month with out waking up early in the morning to fetch common periwinkle.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My current hardship I am experiencing is; getting food every day to feed my family. At times we have to collect and sell common periwinkle before getting food. Many days my family goes to bed without food when there is no periwinkle to sell and buy food.
