How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to rebuild my house in a more decent manner, my husband and I have been thinking about our house condition before but didn't had any money to make the kind of changes that we wanted to see in it but through the generous help from GiveDirectly, we have started our house project and hoping to finish it soon.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping us in a more decent manner, they have shown us respect through out this program, they are also truthful and reliable in all their processes. I have not noticed anything that GiveDirectly is not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy zinc and other building materials for my house project, I also bought food for my family. I am doing everything possible to finish my house project, that is why I have invested most of my transfers to achieve this goal.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If my family receives the cash transfer from Givedirectly, portion of the cash will be used to pay my children's tuition. Right now I cannot get a better job to do to support my family and I because, back then my parents didn't send me to school to prepare me for my future. So therefore I do not want my children to go through the same. Every time I see my mates who had the chance to go school when we were young living a better life, it brings sorrow to me. Also I will use the remaining portion to sell dry Fish in my community. With this I think I can generate more profit that will sustain my family
What is the happiest part of your day?
Over the past few weeks due to decrease in the frequency of rain fall I collected about three bags of periwinkle which I sold for an amount that sustained my family needs for one month. This brought me joy and happiness. At least during that time I had the time to rest.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My greatest hardship right now is; my family survive on the sale of common periwinkle. I sometimes travel long distances to collect periwinkle from the mangrove. At times after collecting the periwinkle and there is no customer my family goes without food for about a day or two until we find someone to buy from us.
