How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Life would have been very different had I not received the money. I would not have managed to do things like buying food for the family, a bicycle as well as fertiliser. All along I have been failing to support my family of 7 people, 2 adults and 5 children with basic needs through my mat selling business but with the transfers I managed to buy all those things for my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirect do well y advising us to spend the money on things which will benefit our families. Before receiving the transfers, we are advised to use the money in ways which will ring impact to our lives and families such as on businesses or building houses which is a good thing. In my view, there is nothing bad which is done by the organisation.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money I received to buy food for the family as we had no food in the house. I also managed to buy a bicycle to e using as transport when going to distance places. The money also helped me to buy fertilizer as I prepare myself for the coming farming season. A part from that, I mough two goats as I want them to reproduce and sell them in future to support my family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
We are so thankful to this organization for this help as we are mere labourers and never have we ever had this kind of money in our life. We believe this kind of money will help us buy enough food for our household.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the evening whenever I am sharing stories with my family
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Lack of food as we are just labourers working at the farm and in most cases we depend on casual labour for our survival
