How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is so much better than it used to be. I used to live in a house that leaks. I had no clothes or beddings. With the transfers from GD, I have bought clothes, beddings and have fixed my house. I will no longer be sleeping on a wet floor. I am very grateful to GD for changing my life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give Directly is very good at their work. Giving people money is rare but they have managed to give to everyone in my community fairly. I think this is the best thing that Give Directly does well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
With my transfer, I am fixing my house, I bought 1 acre of land, 10 bags of maize, clothes, beddings, and started a clothes business

This money will help me buy enough food so that I do not starve as I did not harvest enough yield this year due to lack of fertilizers. This money is a huge relief

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My husband left me some years ago and since then I have been struggling to provide for my 2 kids
