Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that these transfers have enabled me to start construction of my house because I am was living in my grandmother's house because my house was old and grass-thatched.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have started a maize and egg business because these will be a source of income for buying a heifer and from there a piece of land.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different because these transfers have enabled to me built a house and better clothing hence more decent than before.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I am planning to buy a piece of land with my husband and improve my kitchen by buying utensils.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
In 2008, we hardly had anything to take care of our young family. My husband was jobless and it was really difficult to put food on the table. During this time, we could sleep hungry on some days and this was the biggest hardship in our lives.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the midday when I am with my children and we are all going strong and healthy.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend part of my transfer on buying food and other basic needs for my family. I also have plans of spending part of the transfer in paying school fees for my children.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
For a long time we stayed as a family without having a dairy cow for the household. Life was so difficult then considering that we had young children who needed milk to remain healthy and strong. In 2013, we were able to save some money which enabled us acquire a dairy cow. This was the greatest achievement in my life and it really made me proud.
