How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I could not have received money from give directly I could not have managed to pay dowry to my spouse and sure she could still be at her biological home together with my children. I could not have managed to invest in sugarcane farming as I did.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly did a very good think by offering some training before they could start their program, this has helped people make a wise decision and even spending wisely. It also another good where they decided to deal with people directly and not involving authorities.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of the transfer to buy cattle which I used in paying dowry for my spouse. I have been having a big problem with her since I had not been able to pay dowry for several years being that I could not afford. So my spouse left to her biological home plus my children since she wanted me to pay her dowry. I was not pleased when my children and my wife left, So I decided to spend the money to pay dowry for my wife and now they are back and we are now staying peacefully. I have also earn respect from my in laws. The remaining balance I spent on sugarcane farming which I am very sure of getting a good harvest, where I will get money to do other developments.
