How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Since the program started, my main goal has been to build a decent house for my family, I have been living in a small tach house for two years now because my first house got damaged. I have been focused on my house project since the program started, that is why I don't have any new goal for now except to complete my house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by helping us to achieve our dreams, we have been struggling in this town for a long time and didn't even know how we could help ourselves, but through their cash transfer, we are better than before. I don't know anything that the organization is not doing well because all is working out well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy zinc and other building materials for my house project, I also improve the little business that my wife is running, I paid my son's school fees and bought foodstuffs with the balance.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have been through a lot of difficulties because of poverty. There have been no help from anywhere before GiveDirectly came into my village. Life have been so though on me and my family because of poverty. Due to this, I was so much happy when I started to receive transfer from Givedirectly. I have been planning to build a new house but I had no money. The previous house that I was staying in got broken down by termites. Due to this reason, I have been living in a very tight little house along with my family. Through this transfer from Givedirectly, I am now being able to build myself a decent house that will accommodate my family and I in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I am so grateful to GiveDirectly for everything they have done for me and my family. Because of GiveDirectly, I have been able to buy four bundles of zinc to build myself a decent house that will accommodate my family and I in the future. In my opinion about what is not done well by GiveDirectly in my community, I have not seen anything of such. GiveDirectly have done very much well by reaching out to all the deserving households in my village and I am so happy for that because we have been suffering too much.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I receive my recent transfer from Givedirectly, I used portion of it to buy four bundles of zinc for the construction of my house. Right now I have no house that can hold my family and I. We are staying in a very small house. The previous house that I was staying in with my family got damage and broken down by termites. The remaining portion of the transfer, I used it buy one bag of rice for the feeding of my family, and also the feeding of the people that are going to work on my house and save some for future used just incase if I have any emergence.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Life as a father with four children had not been easy for me. Raising money for my children's school fees and other necessities for the household had been very difficult to do. As a father my only means to raise money was to cut palm nuts or made palm oil for sale. Job that was always difficult to do due to my age and health condition. For this reason I felt very happy and relieved when I received my first transfer. Notwithstanding, I have been desiring to built a bigger house that will accommodate all members of my family. Therefore I am waiting for the rest of the transfers so I can be able to start the building project.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before I started receiving transfer from GiveDirectly, life had not really been easy for me as a father who only source of income was from the sales of the little palm nuts I manage to cut. Now that I have started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly, I am very hopeful that my dream of building a bigger house will become a reality. Furthermore, the school fees for my kids for the coming year will not be a thing of worry for me anymore. I am very excited for this financial support from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
After receiving my first transfer, with the dream of building a bigger house for my family, I am planning on waiting for the rest of the transfers to enable me buy the building materials as once. Furthermore, my next plan is to pay all my three children that are in school full tuition for the next school year in order to avoid future embarrassment. With these plans, I am very excited and hopeful that my life and that of my family will change for the best through GiveDirectly financial assistance.
