How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The cash transfers have changed my social life and family status. I constructed a lovely two roomed house. In addition to this,I reclaimed two pieces of farm land after clearing a huge loan. These farm lands will increase my crop cultivation. In the past, I had only one piece of land to cultivate on and with no money to reclaim the other farmlands due to the huge loan burden. I am delighted that our family will not suffer from famine in the future.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion< GiveDirectly did well to send me cash transfers that have transformed my household. GiveDirectly has only done great things to our community.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer to pay my old loan and reclaimed my farmland. I also bought household items such as a solar panel, utensils, a mattress, a bed. I hired a piece of farm land. I also bought food for the family. The balance of UGX 100000, I am planning to spend it on any emergencies incase of an outbreak of sicknesses.
