What does receiving this money mean to you?
My husband and I are engaged in farming for the past six years now. The money we earn from the farm proceeds d, we used some to pay our children tuition and used the balance on food.
The house my family and I lived in belongs to my father in law and it leaks badly whenever there's a heavy down pull of rain, most of our things get damaged because of that.
If I'm successful to receive this transfer from Givedirrctly, I will use the money to build a house for my family which will bring me so much joy.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy or happiness is when my oldest sister sent me the amount of three thousand Liberian Dollars($ 3,000) in December 2021 to buy my children Christmas clothes, I was so happy because I never had any means of getting money to buy Christmas clothes for my children, for that fact that she gives me money for my children's Christians brought me so much happiness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Even though my husband and I have been making Pepper and rice farm for the past six years now to sustain the family, the money we earn from the farm proceeds, we use some to pay our children tuition and use the balance on food.
We didn't earn enough money from the farm we make last year because of the sun. The sunshine throughout until all the little creeks we freshwater from got dry out and it was difficult for the Pepper to survive without water, we lost the resources spent on the farm. Because of that, we did not make a big farm this year.
The house my family and I lived in belong to my father in law and it leaks badly whenever there's a heavy down pull of rain and most of our things get damaged because of that. I feel bad at times seeing myself in this kind of condition.
I will appreciate any help from GiveDirectly to improve my livelihood.
