Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a plan to start my own salon business.II tough of it because once I finish College I will be having enough skills to enable me to run the business. Having a business will make me be self-employed and at the same time create employment for other people as well. I come from a humble background that is why I am thinking on how to make money to help my siblings too.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I went back to college after dropping out due to lack of school fees. I am specializing in hairdressing because this is where my passion lies I managed to register for tailoring classes too to have extra knowledge and skills for survival. I am also self-dependant in that I am able to be a few personal items without begging from my brother. I am very optimistic that very soon I will be running my own saloon hence I will be having an additional source of income.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have a stable business that will give me a good income. The money I get from my business, I am planning to use part of to renovate our house, the roof is leaking because the iron sheets are too old and have holes when it rains we are rained on. This is my biggest dream once I fulfill it, I will be a happy person.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I was initially working for someone in a restaurant but unfortunately, the shop closed down after it was vandalized by unknown assailants in the wee hours of the night. The little that I had saved from that job is what has been keeping me going on a day to day basis.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Not really at the moment, even though I look forward to receiving my accumulated savings in the group so that I can go back to school as soon as possible. The reason why I am doing this is that I want to be self-employed and get the self-satisfaction that comes with such.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference for me is that I have been saving close to Kes 2000 every month which I intend to use as part of my school fees payment in the near future when I will be getting back to school in order to finish the course I had started.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My long term goal is to go back to school and finish my course in hairdressing. I had started the course but then due to lack of finances, I was forced to drop out of school.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was in that, I am able to meet most of my needs. Nowadays I dress well and the mentality to develop myself has also improved. I have become more ambitious in life. I recently came up with a saving plan in order to raise enough money for my saloon course. Once I finish this course, I will be in a better position to earn more money since I will not depend on selling clothes alone but I will also be running my own saloon.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to go for a saloon course. I know that when I get the skills, I will be able to open my own saloon as my second business. I chose this business because it has a ready market. I have been craving to one day operate a saloon business but doing it in a professional way was key to me. I only need to sharpen my skills and the business will be up and running since I am also sure of the monthly transfer and part of the profits from my first business which will help me to achieve this goal. This will guaranty an increase in my income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have been able to join a savings group. The saved amount really helped me to renovate my parent's house. We collectively pulled efforts with my parents and managed to make a few changes in the home. The changes were quite impressive and we did not think we could have managed to do some of these changes, for instance; cementing the whole house. I feel responsible and proud of my self because my parents can now look at me as someone who can be approached in terms of need. It made me feel like I gave back as a child. Cementing the house has saved us from the hard work of smearing it more often. Seeing my parent very happy make my heart melt out of joy. Thanks to GiveDirectly for making me able to do all these.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months is that, I will have trained for a saloon course and I know that when I finish this, I will have my two business up and running. I expect to later open several branches of this Salon in different towns. I believe that this business will grow big and help many young girls in our village.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Without these transfers, I would not have managed to go back to college which I had dropped out of a year ago due to lack of school fees. With the training am currently getting, I have a hope of one day opening my own business and taking care of my mother who is currently struggling to educate and fend for her children.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My biggest plan right now is to continue saving these transfers so that I can raise enough money to be able to pay for the hairdressing course and even enrol for another advanced course as a beautucian as soon as I complete this one.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I relocated to the city months ago to join a beauty college after realising that these transfers would help with the fees. Living in the city has changed my life and given me a completely different view of life. I have become wiser as it is the only way to survive around here, I also have big dreams of establishing a business unlike before when I had none, but only worried about what to eat.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
When I am done with this section of training on hairdressing, I would like to enrol for another advanced course on beauty which includes but not limited to pedicure, manicure and massage. This will give me a wide customer base when I open my own salon/beauty parlour which I plan to do as soon as I get the right training.
