What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase a an ox, household Items(utensils and a mattress) and food. In addition, I paid school fees for my son who is in secondary level plus his accommodation for two terms .I bought uniforms for my other primary school going children and paid for treatment.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me cash that I have used to pay school fees and buy an ox. I am so grateful for this unconditional cash. GiveDirectly has only done good to me because I was badly off and needed financial support for my children's education.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I have been in position to settle my son's fees and accommodation for two terms. This has given me an ample time to look for fees for other terms without pressure. I have also aquired an ox that has eased my agriculture. Prior to receiving this transfer, I had a lot of pressure looking for school fees at the last minute and didn't have money for buying an ox since all my money was used for school fees, medical care and food.
