Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am very delighted that with the cash transfer I acquired livestock and household items that I could not afford in the long run. I depend on subsistence farming as the main occupation but this could not enable me acquire all the basic needs due to limited food supply. However, the cash transfer empowered me and raised me from that state.

I read the message early that day. I felt very excited and happy because I had two children who needed my care after their children abandoned us.

I spent the first cash transfer to purchase livestock worth UGX 1300000 and I bought a mattress worth UGX 90000 and a bed worth UGX 65000. I bought chairs and a table all worth UGX 65000. The remaining money was spent on purchasing food and clothes for the family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means starting up a small scale business which will support my household in educating children, meeting medical bills and purcasing food for them. Currently, I am engaged in casual labour in order to meet my household needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the evening. It's the time when I have eaten a meal and now staying with friends. That gives me to smile because I have moved out to socialize which refreshes me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Lack of a reliable source of income is my biggest challenge. I spend much of the valuable time engaged in casual labour which is not very productive because I spend money from hand to mouth.
