What does receiving this money mean to you?
I planned to build my own house, I will use my transfer to buy zinc and other building materials to build my house. I want to build house because I am currently living in someone's house. Our neighbor give us only one room in her house so it is difficult for our family to visit us because of logging place. Building a house will mean a lot for me because it is a lifetime investment, I will use it, my children will use it and my grandchildren and great grandchildren will use it. What they need to do is to continually reconditioned it.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When we started harvesting the farm on the first of this month, I was happy because we will not be worried about food for now. I was very happy because I will not be thinking about buying food so any cash I generate from different sources will be spent towards improving our lives in stead of food.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My main challenge now is food. We cultivated rice this year but the yield is low. We will consumed the rice for less than six months and will be left to buy food. This farming year is the worst because the birds have eaten all the rice from the field. We just have to engage in farming because everyone in this village are engaged into farming so me will not just sit and watch, people will consider us useless without knowing the reason. Besides, we cut trees to produce fire coal which is the means of survival for many population in this county.
