How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Yes, my first, second, and third transfers were mostly spent on my grandchildren's school fees, but my kitchen broke down due to the heavy down pull of rain, so my recent transfer was diverted to my kitchen project.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
We were here not expecting a surprise like this from anywhere, but Givedirectly being good at reaching out to the poor people brought into our town their cash transfer program which brought some much changes in our lives; so Givedirectly does everything well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My most recent transfer was spent on building my kitchen, and then I also took portion of it to improve my business.

The new plan is to renovate my house, car ran into my poch and broke it down. My house is right by the main motor road to Gbarpolu and it is vonulrableb.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I'm over happy for all of the good work GiveDirectly has done for my family and I. Where I would have gotten the money to use an old woman like me. I have not heard anything bad about GiveDirectly work.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought five bags of cement, I bought sand and planks for the renovation of my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have a mini shop that I'm running, the goods are not many due to lack of money to purchase most of the essential commodities needed by the town people. If I am qualified to benefit from this cash transfer, I hope of increasing the size of my business. This will help me get more profit which will be used for upkeep of my grandchildren and myself.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought me the greatest joy in the last six months was seeing my oldest son get married. Seeing my son fulfilling the will of Allah is something that has brought me great joy and makes me a proud mother.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have three of my grandchildren living with me currently, there isn't any school in our town or any of the nearest town. I don't have money to send them to stay in another location to attend school likewise their parents. My inability to educate my grandchildren due to lack of money is my major challenge currently.
