What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I plan on buying 2 goats so that I remember GD by. This will also mean that I will have continued financial support since I will be selling the goats for profit in future after they multiply. I believe that way I will have a reliable poverty alleviation step in my household. Furthermore, I will buy 4 bags of fertilizer to apply in my maize field to achieve a bumper harvest next year, thus, being food secure.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am generally happy whenever I find something that I lack most and that is "food". Taking evening meals with my children in peace give me joy and happiness.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I willl say poor health for me is the hurdle that makes my life difficult. Whenever I am fit and in good health I don't have to worry about how I will take care of my family. As I am speaking to you I have been recently discharged from a week's admission at Mayani hospital due to stomachache. This has rendered me helpless since it was my second time this year to be hospitalised from this same illness. When I am okay I sell porridge at the market and I am able to make a total of 2000 kwacha a day and I use this money to support my family. But since I am usually sick these days I am unable to conduct that business and this affects me and my family negatively especially in the food section, specifically we lack money to buy relish for nsima.
