Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to save my next transfers to buy some chicken and sheep. This programme is almost ending and I would like to have a reliable source of income to help me meet my daily expenses. Chicken and sheep are easy to keep and requires less labour which I can easily manage with my old age. I would have some eggs for sale and this money would help me to meet my daily needs and to cushion myself in case of a financial need.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last few months, I have been able to meet5 my daily expenses with less struggle. In the last few days, I bought a new coat and now looking good in it. I believe were it not for this organization O would be begging for money as I am no longer strong to do much work for a living.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I believe I would have bought some chicken and would be collecting some eggs which when I get to sell I would also have something to buy myself some necessities. I have always wanted to live a life that I do not expect anything from anyone. This would make me live long as I wouldn't worry that I would lack money for use at some point.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I build a decent house. Before I used to live in a small madhouse which could not host all my family members comfortably. I was so shy to welcome visitors because of that situation. Currently, I have a decent good house my family members have a good place to sleep. I'm so happy with the support it has changed our living standard.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goals for the next four months is to save money to enable me to buy sofa seat seats for my new house. Currently, I do not have good seats. This will make my house to look so decent and smart which has always been the desire of my heart.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I built a better and spacious house for my family which was not possible before. I used to do casual jobs in the village and the money I could get was not enough for both the basic needs and also for building a new house. I use to save some amount from the money I received from GiveDirectly which enabled me to buy building materials and pay workers who built a house for me. Before I used to shy off in welcoming visitors to my house because the house I was living in was not good and it was in a bad condition but nowadays I am free to welcome anybody because of a decent house. I'm so happy because my family has a good place to sleep and relax after working on their various roles. GiveDirectly has changed our living standard and we are so grateful.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Part of the transfer which I recently received, I spent to hire someone to weed my plants. Were it not for the money which I received from GD, I would have done the weeding myself. And due to my old age, I don't think that I would have finished it any time soon.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal is to buy a sheep. I would like to spend my next transfer to buy high breed merino sheep. The sheep mature faster and that within a very short time I will be having a good number. This will assist me during the financial crisis. I will sell some to cater for the family needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
For the last four years, we were not able to harvest any maize from our farm due to a fungal disease which affected our plants and this has caused food shortage in our region. I thank God for Give Directly for coming to our village as the transfer which we get we spent to buy maize for consumption.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect a good harvest from my farm. I have been spending part of the transfer on taking care of my maize crops which are now doing so well. I believe that when I got to harvest the maize we would no longer spend money buying the same and rather we will spend the money on other family basic needs.
