How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal has always been building a house for my family to move in. I am not getting any younger and my house is in a deplorable condition. However, I did not have enough money to undertake my house project. I am working as a herbalist and this has been my only means of survival. Meanwhile, everything changed after GD's intervention through direct cash transfer. My life has improved immensely. I will forever remained grateful to GD.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done extremely well by making me to live in a modern zinc house. I am no longer embarrassed by the many leakages from the roof when it rains. I am very fortunate to be a part of this program. Thanks to everyone at GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to buy additional building materials such as zinc, zinc nails and planks. The 2 bundles of zinc which cost $21,000LD will be added to the previous building materials purchased with my previous transfer. My balance transfer was saved to compensate contractors working on my house. I am so delighted with this unique opportunity given me by GiveDirectly.

In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I love all of those things that GD does, they have done nothing that I don't love. They don't beg, they don't eat our food, they do their job with honesty, they are indeed people of integrity.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have been a laughing tool to others for years because of where I stay, but I thank God for Give Directly that my story is about to be rewritten. I will spend my transfer on house materials (Zinc, nail, plank, and workmanship) to build my new house.

However, establishing a new business and initiating my house project has been the biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving transfer from Givedirectly. Thank God for Give Directly, there is so much to be accomplished by this transfer, my life now has taken a U-turn and I'm so excited about it.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used portion of my transfer to set up a petit business to sustain my family and I. Similarly, part of my transfer was used to buy rice and fuel. I have also made some preparations for my new house project. I cut down some sticks, and brush my house spot with my balance transfer. I am so delighted to have benefited from this unique project that has transitioned my life for good.
